Another two REBO walls have landed in the world!
This time they’re on the courts Tunbridge Wells Lawn Tennis Club (TWLTC) in the South of England, thanks to the support of their local NFU Mutual branch.
Espen Erichsen, Chairman of TWLTC, chopped the ceremonial ribbons ✂️? and shared,
“I grew up in Norway and we only had outdoor clay courts open 5 months a year, so the other 7 months the old hitting wall was what I used for practice. It made me very consistent and was great, although the bounce was nothing like what you get compared to REBO wall. The coaches using the walls a lot in their lessons. I see them used all the time by members practicing on their own.”
He declared the NFU Mutual Tunbridge Wells REBO walls open – and the games commenced with members competing against the walls in a challenge to win a glass of something refreshing (which may have contained mint, strawberries and cucumber – and rhymed with hymns ???).
Tonya Williams, Marketing Manager at NFU Mutual Tunbridge Wells who sponsored the walls, said,
“We are delighted to continue our support of the wonderful Tunbridge Wells Lawn Tennis Club in the purchase of two REBO walls. They were an immediate hit with the players, parents, coaches and committee as they really help in skill development. Our launch evening saw everyone coming together on a sunny evening in an attempt to hit the REBO logo and win free beverages of choice at the club bar. Some more successful than others, it must be said!”
